The 8th national competition of transport science and technology for students was held in Beijing University of Technology at May 25th to 26th, 2013.

The main theme of this competition is Smooth Transportation. Over 400 students and 198 projects coming from 86 universities, including Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Southeastern University attended this competition. 4 teams from HIT got through to the finals and won one second place award and three third place awards, which is the best performance of HIT in the history. Prof. Hua WANG and Prof. Jian WANG were invited by the organization committee as the judges.

In the closing ceremony, Prof. Shi AN, the president assistant of HIT, accepted the competition flag from Prof. Bing WU the vice president of Beijing University of Technology. The 9th national competition of transport science and technology for students will be held by HITin Harbin in May 2014.
